Important information – for candle making
1) Palm Wax Gd-56 is a type of wax that has a medium hardness.
2) What does it mean medium hardness?
– Meaning, it is suitable for moulded candles and pillar candles up to a certain size. It is important to note that when you are making larger candles, you need to lessen the usage of Palm Wax gd-5.

3) Why?
– generally candles that are wider in diameter needs waxes that are harder and have more structure.

5) What will happen if we continue to use medium hardness when making candles with big diameter?
– The candle shape will collapse. You will find that when you unmould a pillar candle, there will be dents & collapse in the shape.

4) Can we mix it with paraffin wax and other oils?
– yes, you can mix it with paraffin wax (for a softer and more transparent texture), you can also mix it with other vegetable oils.

5) Flame type?
– different waxes will have different flame type.
– Palm wax have a smaller flame type as compared to paraffin wax candles. Therefore, should be wicked with bigger wick size.
– It is advisable to use a flat braided wick type.
